As a primary care doctor, I have been a leading voice in the State House on health-related initiatives, including expanding access to primary care, preventing substance abuse, cementing access to reproductive healthcare, and securing funding for physician mental health.

 

I am particularly excited about my bill H.2537 that directly targets our primary care crisis by doubling Massachusetts’ investment in primary care, thereby improving health and decreasing costs long term. Advocates from Healthcare for All, the Mass Medical Society, the American College of Physicians, and the American Academy of Pediatrics came together to testify in support of the bill when it came before the Joint Committee on Public Health.
